Loving-Kindness Meditation for a Neutral Person

This may be a patient, a colleague encountered in passing, or a familiar face without a close relationship. This practice widens the circle of compassion beyond established close relationships.

Week 4
Loving-Kindness Meditation for Someone Difficult
A short guided loving-kindness meditation focused on extending goodwill toward someone who is challenging. This is the final and most demanding practice in the four-week sequence. The practice does not require approval of anyone's behavior or a lowering of personal boundaries. It offers an opportunity to release the burden of sustained resentment; that burden belongs to the practitioner, not the other person.
